OVEN ROASTED FRESH RICOTTA OR GOAT CHEESE

Ingredients
Serves 8
- 2 rounds of 250 g each of cheese
- Dried chili flakes
- 2 tbs dried oregano or za’atar (Hyssop)
- Salt, freshly ground black pepper
SAUCE:
- 1 fresh hot red chili pepper, chopped very finely (seeds included)
- A handful of fresh oregano / za’atar leaves
- 1 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 220ºC.
- Line a baking sheet with oiled baking paper and put the cheese. Spread over a generous amount of dried chili, dried oregano/za’atar, salt and pepper and drizzle with a nice amount of olive oil.
- Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and crispy on top. Meanwhile, prepare sauce with all the ingredients.
- Serve hot with a generous amount of sauce.
